A suspect was detained in Kerch for storing explosives and manufacturing weapons

Employees of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, together with colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, detained a resident of the city of Kerch. He is suspected of manufacturing firearms and storing explosives.
It was previously established that the attacker, who had recently worked abroad, kept the arsenal. Investigators inspected his garage and private home. There they found objects similar to weapons, its main parts, as well as powdery substances. The examination confirmed that more than 500 grams of smokeless powder, over a kilogram of TNT, an F-1 grenade, a pistol, a shotgun, two revolvers and two homemade carbines, as well as the main parts of long-barreled firearms and cartridges of various calibers were seized— said the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.
An investigator from the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kerch initiated criminal cases based on crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article 222.1, Article 223 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
