A suspect was detained in Sevastopol for attempting to sell marijuana on a large scale

During operational search activities in Sevastopol, a man suspected of illegal transactions with prohibited substances was detained.
Earlier, police drug control operatives received information that a 26-year-old resident of Sevastopol may be involved in the illegal sale of marijuana and store the drug at his place of residence. As a result of the activities carried out, the information received was confirmed — at the suspect’s place of residence, police officers found and seized a polymer bag containing a substance of plant origin with a characteristic odor, as well as high-precision electronic scales. The seized evidence was sent for research, which confirmed that the package contained a narcotic drug — cannabis, weighing more than 115 grams— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district opened a criminal case against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30 p. «g» part 4 tbsp. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years. The defendant was detained in accordance with Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
