A suspect was detained in Sevastopol for stealing from a thrift store

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol operatives detained a suspect in the theft of goods from a thrift store. The perpetrator turned out to be a 19-year-old local resident who, while intoxicated, entered a thrift store and stole property worth more than 43 thousand rubles.

It was established that the young man spent all his savings on entertainment and alcohol, but really wanted to continue the fun. To this end, he decided to break into a thrift store in order to profit from something. Approaching the metal-plastic entrance door, the attacker forcibly opened the window built into it, after which he opened the door and entered the premises. Having looked around, he chose a game console and a laptop for himself, stole them from the display case and disappeared in an unknown direction. As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district identified and detained the suspect. He did not manage to sell the stolen equipment— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

The investigative department has opened a criminal case against the detainee under paragraphs. “b” and “c” part 2 art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to five years.
