A swim dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the Victory and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city was held in Sevastopol

A grandiose physical culture event took place on the embankment of Victory Park — the “Victory will be with us” festival, dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Sevastopol from fascist invaders.

Teams from Sevastopol, Anapa, Moscow, Zaporozhye region, LPR and DPR and other cities took part in the festival. Black Sea Higher Naval School named after. P. S. Nakhimov was represented in four teams– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the sports department Sergei Reznichenko.

After the warm-up, “Get up, the country is huge!” and the concert, competitions began: a general race of 2 and 5 km, a Victory swim with a 20-meter St. George ribbon, as well as a sea relay race in open water.

All day long there was a concert program in Victory Park and various locations were open: tug of war, a rugby area and a children’s playgroundemphasizes the head of the department.

Excitement, overcoming oneself, team spirit, the desire to win or at least show their capabilities — all this united the competition participants.

The event was implemented within the framework of the regional project “Sport is the norm of life” of the national project “Demography”.
