A team from Sevastopol launched a research satellite into the stratosphere

The team of the Sevastopol Children’s Technopark «Kvantorium» for the first time participated in the finals of the All-Russian program «Stratospheric Satellite». It was held in Vladimir from 1 to 9 July. Only 10 teams from all over the country were invited to the final.
Sevastopol was represented by the Mors Stella team. It included Quantorians Kirill Evdoshchuk, Elizaveta Vasilyeva and Elizaveta Maidanyuk. The finalists created their projects based on the constructor of the Cubesat 1U format satellite — they themselves assembled and programmed the devices, and after the preparatory stage they launched them into the stratosphere. Sevastopol residents studied the influence of conditions close to space conditions on the viability of the mold of the Mukor genus. The Stratospheric Satellite program was created for children who dream of astronautics. It is aimed at the formation of a new generation of scientists and engineers in the field of stratonautics and astronautics.
