A teenager from Feodosia will stand trial for brutally beating an acquaintance

CrimeaPRESS reports:

According to the Investigative Committee, a criminal investigation has been completed against a 14-year-old resident of Feodosia, accused of intentionally causing grievous harm to the health of a minor as part of a group of persons (clause “a”, part 3 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

At the beginning of January of this year, during monitoring of social networks, a video of a conflict involving minors in Feodosia was revealed: in the footage, two teenagers, using wrestling techniques, beat a peer. On behalf of the leadership of the Main Investigation Department, a criminal case was immediately initiated based on these circumstances.

The investigation department for the city of Feodosia established that on the afternoon of January 3, a 14-year-old schoolboy beat a 17-year-old boy on the territory of Komsomolsky Park due to an interpersonal conflict. A 13-year-old acquaintance of the accused, who had not reached the age of criminal responsibility, also took part in causing bodily harm. A 12-year-old girl filmed what was happening on her mobile phone. As a result, the victim suffered many bodily injuries, including serious ones. He was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state— Crimean investigators told the details.

The defendant in the criminal case fully admitted his guilt in committing a serious crime, repented of his actions and apologized to the victim. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.

During the investigation, other facts of illegal behavior and violence against peers by teenagers were established. All episodes were given a proper legal assessment, and the situation in families was studied. Data were sent to the prevention authorities, on the basis of which schoolchildren were placed on preventive registration,” the Sledkom clarified.

The progress and results of the investigation were under the control of the leadership of the Main Investigation Department.
