Police and prosecutors are conducting an investigation into an accident in the Nizhnegorsky region of Crimea, in which children died. A terrible accident occurred late the night before (at 11 p.m.) on the Nizhnegorsky-Belogorsk highway, near the village of Kostochkovka.
The 28-year-old driver of a Skoda Octavia did not take into account the road situation and did not choose a safe speed, as a result of which he collided with two pit bikes and an ATV, moving in the same direction under the control of minors. As a result of the accident, two minor drivers of pit bikes and an ATV passenger received injuries incompatible with life. The driver of the ATV, born in 2007, was taken to a medical facility— reported the traffic police.

The prosecutor’s office has organized an inspection and will evaluate compliance with the requirements of the legislation on road safety, including in terms of allowing teenagers to drive vehicles.
As reported by the Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been opened regarding this fact.
The head of the Main Investigation Department, Vladimir Terentyev, instructed the head of the Belogorsk Interdistrict Investigation Department to accept the materials of the criminal case for production and organize its further investigation in the investigation department. During the investigation, investigators will establish all the circumstances of the accident, order and carry out the necessary examinations, evaluate the actions of all participants in the incident, as well as the authorities and institutions of the prevention system that allowed teenagers to drive vehicles with violations.says the Sledkom information.
