Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate are conducting an investigation into a fatal accident on the Tavrida highway. According to law enforcement officials, the accident, which claimed two lives, happened this afternoon, at 16:05 in the Bakhchisaray district.
At 256 km + 400 m of the Tavrida highway in the direction of Sevastopol, the driver of a VAZ-2104 car drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Mercedes car. As a result of a traffic accident, the driver and passenger of a VAZ-2104 car received injuries incompatible with life, the driver of a Mercedes car was injured— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
An investigation into the fatal accident is underway and the circumstances surrounding the incident are being established.
