A third of tourists come to Crimea to improve their health and receive treatment

The purpose of more than 30% of guests is sanatorium-resort treatment, 28% of tourists visit Crimea for the purpose of a beach holiday. Cultural, educational and active types of recreation are popular — they were chosen by 18% and 15%, respectively.

The goal of 31% of guests is spa treatment. The data was obtained during a sociological study compiled on the basis of a survey of guests of the peninsula, which was conducted by the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea during the high tourist season of 2024. The main “donor region” is the Central Federal District. 45% of guests arrived in Crimea from there. 68% of guests vacationed in Crimea several times, which indicates a high return rate of tourists, — said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.

Based on the results of the study, the Ministry will draw up a Portrait of a Tourist for 2024.
