A two-story house and a garage were on fire in the Bakhchisarai region

Upon arrival, it was established that a two-story private house and a garage were on fire. Due to strong winds, there was a risk of the fire spreading to a bathhouse and outbuildings located nearby. Within 2 hours, firefighters extinguished the fire on an area of ​​120 square meters. Further spread of the fire was prevented. There are no casualties, the cause is being established, — the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea reported.

A total of 9 people and 3 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Of these, 5 people and 2 units of equipment were from the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Fire Protection of the Republic of Crimea».

To avoid a fire in a private home, you should follow these rules:

— regularly check the electrical wiring, the serviceability of switches and sockets;
— keep heating electrical appliances and stoves in good condition, away from curtains and furniture on fireproof stands;
— do not allow high-power electrical appliances to be connected to the same network, as this will lead to an overload in the electrical network;
— before leaving home, make sure that gas and electrical equipment is turned off;
— be attentive to children, do not leave children alone without supervision;
— smoke in strictly designated areas. Remember that smoking in bed, especially when drunk, is often the cause of a fire.
