In Simferopol, an agent of the Ukrainian military intelligence was detained, who in February blew up the railway in the Crimea — a canvas on the «Clean — Pochtovoe» stretch in the Bakhchisaray district. Used an improvised explosive device. The agent is a Russian citizen born in 1998.
In February 2022, a resident of Simferopol, after the start of the SVO, left for Odessa, where he was recruited by employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, underwent a course of reconnaissance and sabotage training, after which he was sent to the Republic of Crimea— stated in the press release of the TsOS FSB.
The detainee admitted that he collaborated with the special services of Ukraine. At the moment he is in jail. A criminal case has been opened under the article «Sabotage». The sanction of the article provides for punishment of up to 20 years in prison. In addition, the investigation intends to find out the involvement of the man in other crimes. The saboteur was taken into custody for a period (so far) for 2 months.
