A Ukrainian spy was caught in Simferopol — collecting data on units of the Russian Guard

FSB operatives detained in Simferopol an agent of the Ukrainian special services who was collecting information about Russian Guard units in the zone of a special military operation. The spy is taken into custody. This was reported by the Public Relations Center (PSC) of the FSB.
During the activities carried out, it was established that a citizen of Ukraine received from a curator from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine an assignment aimed at collecting information about the locations and routes of movement of FSVNG units (Federal Service of National Guard Troops) in the territory of a special military operation. The information was intended for launching missile and artillery strikes against FSVNG personnel and military equipmentthe message says.
The information was sent to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine via Internet messengers.
The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (espionage). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
The Kyiv district court of Simferopol chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months for an agent of the Ukrainian special services.
