A violator will be tried in Simferopol for driving drunk and crashing into a police car.

In Simferopol, the Zheleznodorozhny district prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident. He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person brought to administrative responsibility for a similar act).
The preliminary investigation body established that a 45-year-old resident of the Simferopol district, having been deprived of the right to drive vehicles, at the end of December 2023, while driving a Ford Focus car in a parking lot near one of the city’s shopping centers, lost control of the vehicle and collided with an official car of the police department on duty.
During further inspection, the man’s state of intoxication was confirmed. Previously, he had already been brought to administrative responsibility for refusing to undergo a medical examination for intoxication.,” the Crimean prosecutor’s office provided details.
The criminal case was sent to the Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Simferopol.
