A virtual “rubber” apartment with 78 foreigners registered was discovered in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, a local resident was brought to criminal liability for fictitiously registering 78 foreign citizens at the place of residence in the Russian Federation.
Agreeing with the opinion of the state prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol, the court convicted the local resident under Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at the place of stay in the Russian Federation).
According to investigators, from July 2021 to February 2023, for a monetary reward, the woman fictitiously registered 78 citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine in five apartments she owned. She submitted notifications about the arrival of foreigners, although in reality she did not intend to provide them with housing. Thus, it deprived the authorized bodies of the opportunity to exercise control in the field of migration,” the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office reported details.
The magistrate of court district No. 19 of the Nakhimovsky judicial district of Sevastopol, taking into account the opinion of the public prosecutor and the elderly age of the culprit, imposed a fine of 80 thousand rubles.
