In early June, a young man came to one of the sports stores in Sevastopol to find himself new sneakers. He tried on the new shoes, but did not pay for the goods he liked and left wearing them. After some time, the offender returned to the same store and returned the stolen sneakers to their place. Instead, he chose a different model of sports shoes, and this time he left wearing them. Having discovered this fact, the store director filed a complaint with the OMVD of Russia for the Gagarinsky District. As a result of operational and investigative activities, police officers identified a 25-year-old native of Cheboksary, previously convicted of similar crimes, who came to Sevastopol to earn money.
Criminal cases have been initiated against the detainee under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft». The article provides for up to two years of imprisonment.
