A visitor who stole his employer's property was detained in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The perpetrator turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Chelyabinsk, who came to Sevastopol to earn money, but became a defendant in a criminal case.
It was established that the man got a job as a carpenter in a company owned by a 35-year-old local resident. Since the out-of-town worker needed to find housing, his employer offered him the opportunity to live for some time in the technical room of the hangar where the work was carried out. In addition to the equipment necessary for carpentry work, the hangar also stored the entrepreneur’s personal belongings, including a sports bike worth 40 thousand rubles. Having waited for the moment when the owner of the property was absent from work, the perpetrator stole the bike and sold it on one of the Internet services for posting ads for goods, and spent the proceeds on food and alcohol. When the entrepreneur discovered that his property was missing, he turned to the police for help, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, the criminal investigation officers of the OMVD of Russia for the Gagarinsky District established that the theft was committed by a hired worker and detained him. The investigation department opened a criminal case against the defendant under paragraph «c» of Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation; he faces up to five years of imprisonment.
