A volunteer from Sevastopol was awarded medals for participation in a special operation

Every week, in a solemn atmosphere and on the front line, well-deserved awards are received by those who have shown the best masculine qualities: courage, bravery and courage. One of them is the commander of a Plastun company with the call sign “Beast”. He believes that protecting his homeland, his home, his native land is everyone’s duty.

I couldn’t make any other choice. In 1945, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers beat the Nazis, now our time has come to defend our Motherland. As they say, who if not us? I am no longer young, and I think that all the more I need to set an example– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the serviceman.

The man was in the special military operation zone twice.

As part of a platoon, we held the defense in the Soledar direction. From the first days of the special operation, I volunteered as part of the “Wolves” battalion. He was appointed driver and drove the platoon commander. In the Kyiv region he was wounded, went to the hospital and then returned home. In March 2023, he again joined his team as part of the Skif battalion, a Plastun company. In the special operation zone I was already a platoon commander, — the hero recalls.

For participation in the special operation, the serviceman was awarded the medal “Participant in a Special Military Operation” and the medal “For Special Merit.”
