A woman was detained in Sevastopol for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, while monitoring the virtual space, identified comments in the chat of one of the telegram channels that discredited the actions of the Russian army when performing tasks in a special military operation.

In his statements, the author spoke negatively and offensively about the military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and about the goals and objectives of the Northern Military District. In the shortest possible time, operatives established the identity of the commentator and, with the forceful support of the special forces unit of the Russian Guard, detained him. The author turned out to be a 39-year-old native of a neighboring state. She confessed to the crime— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

An administrative protocol was drawn up against the woman under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintain peace and security, or the execution by government bodies of the Russian Federation of their powers for these purposes.”

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of an administrative fine in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles. The materials collected by the police will be sent to the Nakhimovsky District Court for consideration on the merits.
