A woman was injured near the top of Mount South Demerdzhi

On June 9 at 16:20, the operational duty desk received a message that a woman had been injured in the area of the South Demerdzhi Mountain (Alushta). He cannot continue moving on his own. The duty shift of the Alushta ASO, consisting of 3 people, went to the scene of the incident.
Upon arrival at the top of Mount South Demerdzhi, rescuers began descending to the woman on foot along a mountain path. As a result, 20 minutes later the woman was found below the top of the South Demerdzhi mountain. As it turned out, she accidentally tripped and injured her ankle. After this, rescuers took the woman in a service vehicle to the village of Lavanda and handed her over to medical workers.,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea strongly recommends that when going to mountainous forest areas, remember:
- First of all, take seriously the choice of comfortable clothes and shoes;
- to travel, you should choose the safest route, even if it is longer;
- before driving, you should carefully assess possible hazards, taking into account weather conditions and the likelihood of obstacles;
- You should not make transitions in poor visibility (fog) or in the dark;
- Among the things that you need to take with you, there must be: warm clothes, additional power sources for your mobile phone, a flashlight. It is also advisable to have a GPS navigator with you.
In case of emergency, you must call: “112”. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
