A young Crimean man will stand trial on charges of murdering an acquaintance. He says he was drunk

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Sovetsky District Prosecutor’s Office approved a criminal indictment against a 23-year-old local resident. A young Crimean is accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).

According to the investigation, on July 7, 2023, the accused, while intoxicated, stabbed him in the stomach during a conflict with an acquaintance. The man died from his injury. During the investigation, the accused was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention— reported the prosecutor’s office.

The criminal case was sent to the Sovetsky District Court for consideration on the merits.
