In Saki, operatives detained a suspect in theft from a pensioner.

A 77-year-old local resident contacted the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Saki”, who reported that money had been stolen from him. The man said that 50 thousand rubles and 200 dollars were in the pocket of his jacket, which was in the hallway.

A 44-year-old acquaintance of the applicant, who had visited him the day before, came under suspicion. She turned out to be a resident of the city of Evpatoria. During a search in the suspect’s house, police found and seized two smartphones that she managed to purchase with the stolen money.

An investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Saksky” has opened a criminal case against a woman who has been repeatedly convicted on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of five years in prison. The thief was placed in a temporary detention center. There he will await trial.
