A young lady who stole money from a bank card was detained in Sevastopol

A 41-year-old local resident contacted the OMVD of Russia for the Nakhimovsky District in Sevastopol with a statement about the theft of funds. She said that she had lost her bank card, and when she began receiving messages about funds being written off from her account, she immediately blocked it and contacted the police.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, the criminal investigation officers identified and detained the suspect. She turned out to be a 44-year-old local resident who said that she had found the lost card in the entrance of an apartment building and appropriated it. Having spent a small amount from it, she gave the card to her underage daughter, who did not know that she was spending someone else’s money. The amount of damage amounted to more than 16 thousand rubles.— the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol reported.
A criminal case has been opened against the offender under paragraph «g» of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft»; she faces a sentence of up to six years in prison.
