Abilympics 2023 regional championship started in Sevastopol

From May 15 to May 19, Sevastopol hosts the Abilympics regional championship of the presidential platform «Russia — the Land of Opportunities». The main competition ground is the Sevastopol Professional Art College.

Participation in the championship is open to persons with disabilities and disabilities aged 14 years and over. For them, this is an opportunity to prove themselves, to adapt in society, to find a worthy application for their abilities and skills. Competitions are held in 16 competencies: Fine Arts, Painting, Knitting, Cooking, Cake Decorating, Psychology, Text Processing, Web Design, Adaptive Physical Education , «Painting on silk» and others.

This year 103 contestants take part in the regional championship.

The organizers of the championship are the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol and the Regional Movement Development Center «Abilimpics» with the support of the National Center «Abilimpics» and ANO «Russia — the Land of Opportunities».

The Abilympics movement is not only a career springboard for people with disabilities, but also an opportunity to take a worthy place in society, realize their potential and feel their importance. At the same time, the recognition of the results of the work of each participant in the championship is important for the further development of an inclusive society in our country as a whole.— said the head of the Abilympics National Center Dina Makeeva.

The final of the competitive season will be the national championship, which will traditionally be held in Moscow.
