About 1.8 million tourists arrived in Crimea by trains for six months

1.8 million passengers arrived in the Crimea by rail for the first half of 2025. This was announced by the head of the Federal Railway Agency Alexander Sakharov at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. According to him, 21 pair of passenger trains were assigned to Crimea in the summer season, of which 11 are seasonal. These trains are associated with the 46 regions of the country’s peninsula.
For six months, there were 2.7% more places in these trains than last year, and more than 1 million 800 thousand passengers have already been transported, which is 4.3% higher than last year.— said Sakharov.
He added that in the summer, new trains were first appointed to Simferopol from St. Petersburg, Taganrog, Vladikavkaz, the second two-story train from Moscow also began to run.
For the first half of this year Crimea visited 2.3 million touristswhich is 15% more than last year for the same period. Most of the guests arrived on the Crimean bridge on cars and buses — 59%. Almost a third of the tourist flow falls on the railway message, 12% came to the peninsula through the territory of historical regions.
