About 14 thousand seedlings were planted on the territory of the Evpatoria forestry
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Nazarov took part in the All-Russian action “Save the Forest”. As part of the campaign, about 14 thousand honey locust, lanceolate ash and almond trees were planted on the territory of the Evpatoria forestry on an area of 4.2 hectares.
The campaign started for the 6th time in the republic. This is the largest forest restoration project in the country; it has been carried out since 2019 as part of the national project “Ecology”.
The “Save the Forest” campaign traditionally covers all constituent entities of the Russian Federation and will last until December 2024. Over the 5 years of the project’s implementation, millions of participants from all regions of the country joined it and planted about 300 million trees.
The main goal of the action is to foster a caring attitude towards one of the main resources of the country — the forest, as well as to attract public attention to the problems of preserving, restoring and increasing forest wealth.
