About 40 thousand Simferopol residents are recipients of benefits for housing and utilities
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Such categories of citizens as disabled persons and war veterans, children of war, family members of deceased war veterans, combat veterans, participants in the Special Military Operations, citizens affected by the Chernobyl accident, veterans of military service, disabled persons and families raising a disabled child, rehabilitated citizens, and large families have the right to receive benefits for the payment of utilities and housing.
Thus, the Department provides 39,064 citizens of the privileged category with social support measures in the form of a discount on utility bills, of which as of 01.07.2024:
- 8,260 children of war;
- 14,788 people with general disabilities;
- 699 families raising a disabled child;
- 808 family members of deceased war veterans;
- 1,369 combat participants;
- 2,382 rehabilitated citizens;
- 2,986 large families;
- 815 war veterans and persons equal to them;
- 549 participants of the SVO.
In total, in the first half of 2024, 20,964 people applied to the department for benefits and compensation, 3,284 people applied for social support measures for the payment of housing and utilities for the first time, and benefits were assigned to 3,195 new recipients.
