About 40 thousand Simferopol residents are recipients of benefits for paying for housing and utilities

Benefits for paying for housing and utilities in 2023 were provided in the form of a discount, the amount of which for certain categories of citizens ranges from 25% for war children to 100% for war invalids. This was reported by the head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Simferopol Administration Diana Feratova.

Such categories of citizens as disabled people and war veterans, children of war, family members of deceased war veterans, combatants, participants in a special military operation, citizens affected by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, military veterans, disabled people and families raising a disabled child , rehabilitated citizens, large families have the right to receive benefits for utility bills and housing, — the press service quotes Diana Feratova.

Thus, the department provides 38,981 citizens of the preferential category with social support measures in the form of discounts on utility bills, of which, as of January 1, 2024:

— 8,664 children of war;

— 15,537 disabled people with general illness;

— 683 families raising a disabled child;

— 841 family members of deceased war veterans;

— 1,178 combatants;

— 2,417 rehabilitated citizens;

— 3,073 large families;

— 945 war veterans and persons equivalent to them;

— 438 SVO participants.

In total, 51,011 people applied to the department regarding the provision of benefits and compensation; 6,310 people applied for social support measures to pay for housing and utilities for the first time; benefits were assigned to 6,196 new recipients.
