This night there was a major accident on a gas pipeline in Kerch. According to information KERCH.COM.RU, at 2:30 a fire broke out on a gas pipeline in the Industrial Base area. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating its causes. According to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymgazseti», when a fire occurred, the gas supply was cut off. The combustion stopped as soon as the remaining gas in the networks burned out.
In the morning, half of the city from Prombaza to Glazovka remains without gas, including boiler houses that are turned off. At 12:30 repair and restoration work on the medium pressure gas pipeline in the area of the street. General Petrov were completed.
Kerch UEGH State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymgazseti» has begun commissioning work to resume gas supply to consumers. The restoration of gas supply is carried out in stages, due to the fact that during gas restarts, gas distribution networks, intra-house and intra-apartment gas pipelines are checked for tightness. To quickly carry out commissioning work, subscribers who are left without gas are asked to turn off the taps in front of gas appliances— reports KERCH.COM.RU.
In turn, the head of the Kerch administration Svyatoslav Brusakov said that it is planned to complete work to restore gas supply by the end of the day. After this, the Vostochnaya boiler house will be launched and gas supply will be connected to subscribers.
Special services are working at the scene of an emergency on a medium-pressure pipe in the Industrial Base area. The fire has been extinguished and restoration work continues. Now 25-30 thousand subscribers remain without gas, the Vostochnaya boiler house has been stopped. We plan that by the end of the day the emergency work will be completed, after which the boiler room will be launched and the gas supply will be connectednoted Brusakov.
According to Krymteplokomunenergo, in addition to Vostochnaya, three more boiler houses are not working, as well as nine schools, two medical institutions and two universities, and residential buildings without heat. About 20 thousand subscribers in Kerch are still disconnected from gas supplies.
