In Krasnogvardeisky District, a local resident will be sent to prison for a traffic accident that resulted in the death of a motorcycle passenger.

The court found that in November 2023, in the evening, the convicted person, not having the right to drive vehicles, was driving a motorcycle, on which his friend was riding as a passenger without a motorcycle helmet. The man lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a Ford Focus. As a result of the incident, the motorcycle passenger died from her injuries.— the Crimean prosecutor’s office reported.

The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the defendant to 5 years of imprisonment to be served in a penal colony. He was deprived of the right to drive vehicles for 3 years. The sentence has not entered into legal force.
