This afternoon (at 16:50) in Sevastopol, on Shevchenko Street, an accident occurred in which a female pedestrian was injured. She is hospitalized with very serious injuries. Video of the crash has gone viral on the internet.

The 36-year-old driver of the KIA car near house No. 17 on Taras Shevchenko Street hit a 65-year-old pedestrian who was moving in the opposite direction along the sidewalk. As a result of the accident, a woman with injuries of varying severity was taken to the city hospital. Previously, according to the results of the examination, the driver was found to be intoxicated. Currently, police officers are checking, interviewing eyewitnesses of the incident, confiscating and studying records from video recorders— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
It is emphasized that the actions of the driver will be given a fundamental legal assessment. Probably, there is more than one culprit in this accident (in the video — a car that is driving in the oncoming lane, interfering with the violator). The verification is ongoing.
