Accident in Sevastopol: an elderly woman was hit by a bus on a zebra

This afternoon (at 14:05) in Sevastopol, on Vakulenchuk Street, an accident occurred in which a 76-year-old woman was injured.
A 29-year-old driver, driving a KAVZ bus, on Vakulenchuk Street, near house No. 13, hit a 76-year-old woman who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing from right to left in the direction of the bus. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and was taken to the city hospital, the driver showed no signs of intoxication.
For traffic violations against the bus driver, administrative material was drawn up under Art. 12.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. Investigation is underway on the fact of a traffic accident with the injured employees of the traffic police— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The State Traffic Inspectorate warns that for failure to comply with the requirement of traffic rules to give way to pedestrians, cyclists who take advantage of traffic, administrative liability is provided for under Article 12.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the sanctions of which article entail the imposition of an administrative fine from one and a half to two and a half thousand rubles.
