Accident on the Novorossiya Highway: Four Injured, Including a Child

The employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Krasnogvardeisky District are establishing the circumstances of the accident on the Novorossiya highway (former Simferopol-Dzhankoy highway). The accident, in which 4 people were injured, including a minor, occurred this afternoon, at 14:40, near the village of Poltavka.
The driver of a TOYOTA, born in 1974, was driving from Simferopol towards Dzhankoy, near the village of Poltavka in the Krasnogvardeisky district, while overtaking, and drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with a CITROEN, driven by a driver born in 2003, who was completing a left turn.
As a result of the accident, the driver and passenger of the 2000 CITROEN vehicle, as well as two passengers of the 1983 and 2015 TOYOTA vehicle, received injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility.— the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported.
An investigation is underway into the accident, and the circumstances of the incident are being clarified. The Crimean prosecutor’s office is also conducting an investigation.
