Accident on the Simferopol-Krasnoperekopsk highway: a car flew off the road at high speed and crashed into a tree

Five people were injured, including three minors.

The employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Krasnogvardeisky District are establishing the circumstances of the accident involving minors. The accident on the Simferopol-Krasnoperekopsk highway, near the village of Traktovoe, occurred the previous evening at 21:30.

The driver, born in 1986, driving a Volkswagen Polo, moving from Simferopol towards Krasnoperekopsk, allowed the car to go off the road to the left in the direction of travel, where he hit an obstacle (a tree). As a result of the accident, the driver and four passengers, including three minors, of the Volkswagen Polo received injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility— the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The prosecutor’s office is also conducting an investigation. They specified:

As a result of the accident, the driver of the car, a passenger born in 1993, and three minors born in 2015, 2018, and 2021 were injured.

All victims were hospitalized.
