«Accident report» of incidents on the roads of Sevastopol over the past week

Last week on the roads of Sevastopol there was an accident in which people received injuries of varying severity, including one child. In this accident, the driver of an Infiniti car hit a nine-year-old boy who was running across the carriageway outside the pedestrian crossing.
Over the past week, traffic police officers have identified 547 administrative offenses, including 32 the driver drove the vehicle in a state of intoxication, 8 of which repeatedly, for which criminal liability is provided, 41 the driver violated the rules for driving a pedestrian crossing, 7 drove into the oncoming traffic lane in violation of traffic rules , — noted in the Sevastopol State traffic inspectorate.
In the coming week, traffic inspectors will carry out preventive measures «Bacchus», «Carrier», «Defaulter», «Truck», «Crossroads», «Tinting», «Pedestrian crossing» and «Drunk driver».
The traffic police of Sevastopol informs:
For 6 months of the current year, 245 accidents with victims were registered on the roads of Sevastopol, in which people were killed and 143 injured.
Also on the roads of the city there was 31 an accident associated with a collision with a pedestrian, in which 5 people died, and 81 were injured. 3 pedestrians died due to the fault of the drivers. Due to traffic violations by pedestrians themselves, 2 people died, 31 were injured.
In the clashes, 4 people were killed and 143 were injured. The main reasons for such accidents were: non-observance of the order of travel, non-observance of the speed limit, driving into the oncoming lane and the wrong choice of distance.
For 6 months, traffic police officers identified 845 drivers in a state of intoxication, of which 41 got drunk behind the wheel again, 1443 did not provide an advantage to pedestrians, 449 drove into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules, 301 the pedestrian violated the rules for crossing the road.
State traffic inspectors call on drivers and pedestrians to strictly comply with the requirements of the Rules of the Road, neglect of which can lead to tragedy.
