According to Russians, the poverty threshold today is 43 thousand rubles per month
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Poverty is a salary below 43 thousand rubles, Russians believe. In a service survey Superjob 1,600 representatives of the economically active population from all districts of the country took part.
According to average estimates, Russians consider a person earning less than 43 thousand rubles a month to be poor. To be happy today you need 250 thousand rubles a month. Rich is the one who earns more than 860 thousand rubles, according to Russians.
In Moscow, the poverty threshold is 45 thousand rubles, wealth is 890 thousand; to be happy, Muscovites need 276 thousand rubles a month. Respondents from St. Petersburg consider salaries below 41 thousand to be poverty, more than 800 thousand to be wealth, and the monetary equivalent of happiness to be 240 thousand. Non-capital Russia: the poverty line is salaries up to 42 thousand rubles, wealth starts at 860 thousand per month, and to be happy you need an average of 250 thousand rubles.
Men’s estimates are on average higher than women’s: poverty — 45 and 40 thousand rubles, respectively, wealth — 920 and 780 thousand, happiness — 270 and 230 thousand. The demands of Russians with a salary of 100 thousand rubles per month are expected to be higher than those of those who earn less. It is interesting that the older the respondents, the lower, according to their average estimates, is the poverty threshold (46 thousand — according to Russians under 34 years of age and 39 thousand — according to those over 45 years old), and with wealth the situation is the opposite: the older, the higher the estimates (690 and 920 thousand, respectively).
Over the 6 years that have passed since the similar survey inflation amounted to more than 50%, and the poverty threshold rose 2.4 times, wealth — 1.9 times.
