The session of the Evpatoria City Council decided to appoint Alexander Yuryev as acting head of the administration of Evpatoria (until recently he served as an adviser to the Head of the Republic of Crimea). In principle, one could have guessed about such an appointment (approval of the decision) a week ago when Sergei Aksyonov published fast:
He had a meeting with his adviser Alexander Yuryevich Yuryev, during which they discussed pressing issues that concern the residents of Evpatoria. I believe that Alexander Yuryevich, as a person with experience in urban management, will be able to effectively help in solving pressing issues of the development of Evpatoria. I wish you good luck and fruitful work.
Essentially, this is a parting word before a new “area of work.”
One way or another, at the next 83rd session of the Evpatoria City Council, a decision was made to assign the temporary performance of the powers of the head of the administration of Evpatoria to Alexander Yuryev.
Ivan Prosoedov, acting head of Yevpatoria since February 28, 2024, resigned. Most likely, he will be the deputy mayor of the new mayor.
There is a lot of information about Alexander Yuryev in open sources. First of all, related to his social activities. The new head of the administration of Yevpatoria is 48 years old. In 1997, he graduated from the history department of Simferopol State University. In 2007 – Faculty of Economics, University of Economics and Management. Over the years, he held various positions in both commercial and government structures. He worked in a charitable foundation and was a political consultant to a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. From 2022 to 2024 — Chairman of the Public Council of Simferopol. Since 2022 — freelance adviser to the Head of the Republic of Crimea. Awarded the medals “For the Defense of Crimea” and “For the Defense of the Republic of Crimea”.
