Activists of the First Movement opened an art object dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the Russian Spring

In Sevastopol, an art object was created based on the sketches of the activists of the First Movement — schoolchildren and students of the city who won a patriotic competition. The works of 30 participants formed the basis for the overall layout for an art object in the shape of the number 10. The grand opening took place in the internal space of the city’s “Boiling Point”.

About 60 schoolchildren, winners of the “10 Years Together” competition, took part in the opening ceremony. The height of the art object is two meters, it was made of metal, plastic and plexiglass, and was also filled with flowers as a sign of the heyday of the Hero City during a new page in history.

It’s great that it was our First, young, youthful guys who thought about how to perpetuate the memory of the Russian Spring. There is not such a long period of time separating us from 2014 — only ten years, but for us this period is very serious. These years changed the lives of each of us: both those who remember the Russian Spring well, and those who learned about it now, when they grew up a little. Now Sevastopol is a real Russian city of the 21st century, and without our activists this is completely impossible, so I want them to take responsibility just like the Sevastopol residents who came to Nakhimov Square ten years ago,” noted Senator of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Altabaeva.

The patriotic competition was invented by the activists themselves. At the meetings, the guys discussed the events and projects that they would carry out for the holiday. The competition brought together about a thousand schoolchildren and students of Sevastopol in three directions: “10 years together” — for designers, young artists and creators, “Russian Spring in verse” — for poets, “Singing Russia” — for singers and speakers. Participants posted their works on social networks and sent links to the organizers, who evaluated them.

The art object is the contribution of each activist of the First Movement. It contains the thoughts, desires and dreams of all the First of Sevastopol. All we have to do is implement the proposed ideas and attract the necessary resources. Now, more than ever, it is important to preserve historical memory, especially in the creative impulse— shared the chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the “Movement of the First” of Sevastopol, Anna Molchanova.

The art object was placed in the courtyard of the city’s Boiling Point. Every activist will be able to see it and take a memorable photo during events with like-minded people or family.

March 16 and March 18, 2014 are truly some of the most striking events: the referendum and the President’s message about the entry of Sevastopol and Crimea into Russia. It is important to convey to the younger, rising generation the value of the state of unity and cohesion of the people, these are the feelings experienced by every participant in the rally 10 years ago,” noted Anna Glukhova, director of the Knowledge Society branch.

Schoolchildren and students united around the idea of ​​preserving historical memory: some drew sketches at the First Movement events, others recorded a video of their performance. The guys approached their participation responsibly: each sketch was filled with certain meanings, reflecting the values ​​of Sevastopol residents and activists of the “First Movement” — to be with Russia.

I created a sketch and made a small contribution to the creation of an art object. Mom helped me send it to the competition. Sevastopol is the patriotic heart of Russia. The Russian Spring began here. In fact, when I was only two years old, my parents told me about the events of 2014. Our families wanted to declare that they were Russians and prove their right to live in a Russian city and speak Russian.says Sofia Khromova, a student at school No. 60.
