CrimeaPRESS reports:

The Rosmolodezh.Grants competition was held at the Tavrida art cluster in Crimea as part of the sixth educational event, More Than a Theatre. According to its results, one of the five winners of public defenses was Alexey Petrovsky, an actor from the B. Lavrenyov Drama Theatre of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation and the head of the Lomonosov Drama Theatre Studio at the Moscow State University branch in Sevastopol. The expert committee of the competition recommended his project for a grant of 233,000 rubles.

Our project is called the Festival of Student Theatre Groups «Vesna», in which theatre studios from Crimea and Sevastopol will participate. Student performances will be seen by ordinary viewers, and the groups will receive feedback from a professional jury. Experts will evaluate the productions in terms of direction, musical design, lighting, speech, and movement. Studio participants will also take master classes in acting, directing, staging, movement, lighting and sound design. Our goal is to improve the professional level of local theatre groups. We will begin accepting applications for participation in the festival in November, and in April next year we plan to open the first student festival «Vesna»— said Alexey Petrovsky.

According to the finalist of the grant competition, the festival is planned to be held at the branch of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov in Sevastopol. In the future, the project will be made annual, with all-Russian status, and then international.

The sixth educational tour «More than a theater» was held at the Tavrida art cluster from August 12 to 18. It included 5 art schools: art schools of immersive theater, musical theater, theater management, plastic theater and contemporary dance, and an art school of merch design. The tour brought together 372 participants from 79 regions of Russia — young directors and artists of immersive, plastic and musical theaters, theater managers, choreographers and graphic designers.

As part of the program of the visit, the Rosmolodezh.Grants competition was held, which is held by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. Participants attended individual consultations and lectures by Rosmolodezh.Grants experts Roman Vanin, Alexandra Goldyreva and Vladislava Baykovskaya, where they learned about the possibilities of grant support and received practical tools for social design. Following the public defense, the expert commission recommended 5 projects for the award of grant funds for a total amount of 2 988 000 rubles.

The Rosmolodezh.Grants competition has been held at the Tavrida art cluster (a project from Rosmolodezh) since 2015.
