Advice from the Ministry of Emergency Situations: New Year's pyrotechnics in Sevastopol — what is allowed (much is prohibited!) and how to use it safely?

Firecrackers, sparklers and so-called cold fountains — only three types of pyrotechnic products are allowed to be used during the coming winter holidays in Sevastopol. Such a resolution contains decree of the city governorwhich came into force on December 1.

All pyrotechnic products are prohibited, with the exception of those that correspond to the first hazard class. Each package contains instructions and hazard class. On the eve of the celebrations, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the city of Sevastopol and the police conducted joint raids on places where fireworks, fireworks and firecrackers were sold. We checked whether the sellers comply with all established rules: whether the goods are certified, whether they are stored correctly, whether the expiration dates have not expired, whether the products are not sold to minors, whether they inform buyers about the relevant decree.

However, even when using permitted pyrotechnics, citizens must strictly adhere to safety measures. To prevent the holiday from turning into a tragedy, when choosing such products, pay attention to the integrity of the packaging, expiration dates, and the presence of clear instructions in Russian. The products should be stored in a dry place, out of direct sunlight, and away from heating appliances. Do not carry them in your pocket or carry them in your car. Children should not have access to them. You can use pyrotechnics in an open area, away from trees, cars, buildings and power lines. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble and retrofit them. When starting, you must not lean over them. In case of strong wind, loud and bright special effects will have to be abandoned.
