Africa may be interested in the prospects for medical tourism and health improvement in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Medical tourism in Crimea, all the opportunities for health improvement, student internships and training — all this may be of interest to African countries as a basis for the development of international cooperation. This was announced by the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko at the first meeting of the Crimean-African Business Council of the Yalta International Forum, which takes place in Moscow.

Crimea can definitely be interesting from the point of view of health improvement; there are traditions of balneology that go back more than a hundred years, and new technologies in the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, respiratory tract, skin diseases and many others. Of course, Africa is also interesting for Russian tourists, with its ocean beaches, national parks, exoticism, and nature. But here, of course, we need to put the issues of logistics, service and safety at the forefront.“, the minister noted.

Also, according to him, the historical and cultural component from ancient times to the Middle Ages, from the history of the Russian state and tsarist times to modern history is the most important value of Crimea, and part of world culture, which is known and studied in Africa.

In addition, Vadim Volchenko expressed confidence that joint large business events can be organized in Crimea. As proposals for cooperation, the minister proposed information and congress exchange, organization of joint forums, exhibitions, fair events, in particular in Crimea, participation in informational and press tours of representatives of travel companies and journalists, holding working meetings of government officials to strengthen further cooperation.
