After an appeal from a State Duma deputy, Russian Railways appointed additional trains to Crimea

JSC Russian Railways has considered your appeal regarding the provision of additional trains during the summer holidays towards the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea. In order to ensure transport mobility of the population in communication with the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea, regular trains are replenished on the most popular routes. In addition to the long-distance trains currently running in the southern direction, a decision was made to assign additional trains on the following routes: — No. 551/552 on the route Nizhny Novgorod — Simferopol with a frequency of 2 times every 10 days; — No. 177/178 on the route Moscow — Simferopol with a frequency of 2 times every 10 days; — No. 275/276 on the route Moscow — Anapa, frequency 4 times every 10 dayssays the letter signed by Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Ivan Kolesnikov.
Earlier, Kuznetsov sent an appeal to the head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, in which he asked to inform whether additional trains are planned “during the summer holidays towards the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea and in what quantity, in order to inform citizens.” According to the deputy, now most tickets for long-distance trains heading towards the Black Sea have been purchased, and the only alternative transport can be road transport, “which is inferior to rail in a number of parameters.”
