After changes in the rules for assessing means, the PFR of Sevastopol issued a pregnancy benefit to 533 expectant mothers
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Specialists of the PFR Department of Sevastopol note: since April this year, amendments to the federal law “On State Benefits for Citizens with Children” have come into force, according to which women can be assigned a monthly pregnancy allowance, taking into account the updated rules for assessing need. Since that time 225 thousands of Russian women, including 533 expectant mothers living in Sevastopol, have been issued with the Pension Fund the appropriate allowance.
According to the deputy head of the department for establishing pensions and social payments of the Sevastopol Pension Fund Larisa Mironova, according to the changes, the zero income rule no longer applies to expectant mothers if they applied for payment on 12th week of pregnancy, and also if 6 months of pregnancy fell on the period of calculation of the average per capita income. Thus, pregnancy was included in the list of objective reasons for the lack of earnings.
From the list of objects that are taken into account when assessing the needs of a family, property that is wanted or under arrest or purchased entirely with state support was also excluded.
In addition, the deadlines for applying for benefits have been extended. Now a woman can apply for benefits at any time after the 12th week of pregnancy. At the same time, funds will be paid from the month of registration with a medical organization, and not from the month of filing an application with the FIU , the department said.
533E the Pension Fund has been assigning monthly payments for pregnant women since July last year. The allowance is designed for low-income families and is issued to women who are registered with a medical organization in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. The monthly income per person in the family must not exceed the regional subsistence minimum per capita, and adult family members must have a confirmed income or objective reasons for its absence. Requirements are also established for family property.
Since the start of payments, feedback from citizens applying for benefits has been monitored. With this in mind, changes were made to the rules for processing payments, which entered into force on April 1 this year.
