After the intervention of the prosecutor's office in Simferopol, the Sergeevsky pond was cleared of waste

The Prosecutor’s Office of the city of Simferopol conducted an inspection on the issue of compliance with environmental legislation. It has been established that solid municipal and wood waste, as well as rubber and plastic products, are located in the area of ​​the Sergeevsky pond.

In order to eliminate the identified violations, a proposal was made to the head of the Simferopol city administration, which was considered and satisfied. The municipal budgetary institution «City» carried out measures to clean the coastal zone of the water body from production and consumption waste— reported the prosecutor’s office.

Sergeevsky and Nizhny Sergeevsky ponds are located in the area of ​​​​Kovylnaya Street. The ponds can hardly be called well-groomed bodies of water, although there are many fishermen here. In theory, these places can be significantly improved and recreation areas can be created, since the densely populated Zagorodny microdistrict is nearby. But so far, only unauthorized landfills are “breeding” in the area around the ponds.
