After the Navy, young leaders from other countries visited Tavrida.ART

CrimeaPRESS reports:

A foreign youth delegation — participants of WFM-2024 — visited the art cluster «Tavrida» (a project of Rosmolodezh). The visit took place on March 13 as part of the regional program of the Festival, where the art cluster became the final point of the tour in the Republic of Crimea.

At the end of the World Youth Festival, young leaders from foreign countries were invited to visit regions of the country, where they could become more deeply acquainted with the culture and customs of Russia. Crimea was no exception. Here the participants saw memorable places, achievements and socially significant cultural objects of the republic.

“Tavrida” hosted 33 young people from 21 countries: Peru, Guatemala, Iraq, Luxembourg, Jordan, Brazil, Indonesia, Serbia, Moldova, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Maldives, Nepal, Mexico, Paraguay, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan , Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia. These are young leaders from different fields: education, art, economics, journalism, engineering, technology, legislation, human rights and youth organizations.

As part of their visit to the art cluster, foreign guests got acquainted with the capabilities of the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries, toured art objects at the festival site, and also dined on Russian cuisine.

I would like to note the high level of how everything is done at the Academy — wisely, philosophically: here I immediately have a desire to create. And there is everything for this: interactive classes, modern equipment, and a well-thought-out space for creativity. This is not a classic place where you sit at a desk — they understand that creative people sometimes have to stand, lie down, and bang their heads against the wall in order to bring their ideas to a real project. And here you really feel that this was done by creative people for creative people, — Artem Rudkovsky, a business developer living in Luxembourg, shared his impressions.

During the excursion, members of the delegation noted with interest the new approach to training and the scale of opportunities that Tavrida.ART provides, and some shared the idea that they would like to return to Tavrida themselves or invite their compatriots here.

What I see here is very impressive, and I’m glad to have been introduced to such a large-scale creative space that can have a big impact. In many countries the arts are not given as much attention as they are here. For example, my city is rich in art, and I would be very glad if our artists could come here, meet their Russian colleagues and experience new art. And the festival site is also impressive! I think that all countries should have the same! — noted Roman Cuyer, project coordinator for the development of an international NGO working to protect children’s rights in Paraguay.

World Youth Festival took place on the federal territory of Sirius from March 1 to March 7, 2024 in accordance with the Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin in order to develop international youth cooperation. The organizer of the World Youth Festival was the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the operator of WFM-2024 is the Directorate of the World Youth Festival. Art cluster «Tavrida» acted as a content partner for the event and presented a series of projects in the Festival program demonstrating the achievements of young art in modern Russia. After the completion of the program at Sirius, the regional WFM program began — delegations of foreign participants went on trips to the regions of Russia.
