In Sevastopol, employees of the Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure, together with representatives of the Sevelectroavtotrans named after A. S. Krupoderov, monitored the operation of air conditioners in city trolleybuses and buses.
To date, the state carrier has all buses and trolleybuses on the line equipped with air conditioning — these are 230 trolleybuses and 130 buses. The line also employs private carriers, whose vehicles are not always equipped with such a system. Now, when concluding new contracts, we always pay attention to the availability of an air conditioning system and try to attract carriers that purchase vehicles equipped with such a system. In addition, the company has developed a schedule for the maintenance of air conditioners, compliance with which is constantly monitored, there are no failures in the schedule, — the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the department for organizing passenger transportation of the profile department Vladislav Minin.
He added that employees of the department and subordinate organizations regularly check the operation of air conditioners in vehicles. In the event of a breakdown, the system is repaired, and if the driver turned off a properly functioning system, the carrier company is held liable. Each fact of turning off the air conditioner, not related to a technical malfunction, is recorded.
Buses on suburban routes are also equipped with air conditioning. Due to the fact that they stop less often, and the length of the movement of buses is longer, air conditioners work much more efficiently.
