In Simferopol, in the park named after Yu. Gagarin, the opening of the All-Russian cultural and patriotic blacksmith art festival “Time of Russia”, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, took place.
The event was attended by the head of the administration of Simferopol Mikhail Afanasyev, the president of the All-Russian public organization for the development of artistic creativity and handicraft “Guild of Blacksmiths of Russia” Vasily Kondurov, blacksmiths from all over the country, residents and guests of the Crimean capital.
On the eve of the National Unity Day holiday, we held the opening of a blacksmith festival. We present the best blacksmiths of our vast country. I am glad that this event is taking place in our city! I am sure that everyone who visits the festival will be able to find something interesting for themselves and learn blacksmithingnoted Mikhail Afanasyev.
Forge and anvil masters from different regions of our country gathered in the Crimean capital to present their works, exchange experiences and demonstrate various techniques for mastering a craft that is rare these days.
We use a variety of materials in our work. It all depends on the chosen style. With our works, which we present at the festival, we want to show how it is possible to make plowshares, that is, household items, from military-style items— shared the blacksmith of artistic forging Vitaly Pozdnyak.
