All-Russian Film Festival dedicated to strengthening the unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation is announced in Simferopol

In the Republic of Crimea from to 18 October 2022 the XIV All-Russian Film Festival «A Man Knowing the World», dedicated to strengthening the interethnic unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation, will be held. Traditionally, the festival takes place on the peninsula on the eve of the National Unity Day.

The festival is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Crimea with the aim of popularizing domestic cinema to develop respect for the culture and history of the country, to help strengthen the interethnic unity of the peoples of Russia, to form patriotism and citizenship.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Simferopol Musical College named after P.I. Tchaikovsky October at 18: 00.

As part of the opening, the premiere of the historical drama «Amanat» (directed by Anton Sivers and Rauf Kubaev) was prepared for the audience. This film and other films of the main competitive program can be viewed at the cinema «World of Cinema» in the shopping center «South Gallery» from to 18 October. The schedule of screenings is published on the festival website http://chpm-festival.rf (all screenings are free).

Cinematographers will come to Crimea to present their films in cinemas, hold creative meetings, master classes in educational organizations of Simferopol and the Simferopol region, Evpatoria and Yalta.

In addition, workshops and round tables, thematic film screenings, and press meetings are planned. This year, an open platform for discussing films will be organized on the basis of the Crimean Film and Media Center.

The screening program of the festival films consists of three categories: a feature film, a feature short film and a documentary.

The films will be judged by two juries. The best works in the nomination «Full-length and short feature films» will be chosen by a film critic, candidate of art criticism, associate professor of Tomsk State Pedagogical University, head of the laboratory of film education, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, member of the Board of the Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics, member of the expert council for the award of the Guild of Film Critics and Film Critics of the Union Russian cinematographers Ada Bernatoni; producer, screenwriter, actress, co-head of the production center of Fedor Dobronravov Ekaterina Sarycheva; People’s Artist of Ukraine, three times winner of the State Prize of Crimea, leading actor and director of the Crimean Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky Viktor Navrotsky.

The jury of documentary films included the author of scripts, director, producer of more than 00 feature films, documentaries and serials, winner and diploma winner of Russian and international film festivals, member of the Expert Council of the Ministry culture of the Russian Federation for the selection of non-fiction national films Ekaterina Toldonova; program director of the Open Documentary Film Festival «Russia», program director of the International Film Festival «Territory of National Unity», the International Festival of Tourist Films and TV Programs «Date with Russia», a member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, a member of the Guild of Non-Fiction Films and Television Association, a member of the Russian Academy cinematographic arts Inna Demezhko; Honored Artist of Crimea, laureate of the State Prize of Crimea, member of the Union of Writers and the Union of Theater Workers of Russia, laureate of the Union of Theater Workers Prize, laureate of the International Telekinoforum «Together», holder of the Order «For Loyalty to Duty» of the Republic of Crimea, holder of the badge of the Order of St. George, author of seven documentaries and musical films by Konstantin Frolov-Krymsky.

REFERENCE. The All-Russian Film Festival «A Man Knowing the World» is the first festival that was held in Crimea in 2014 year.

The festival is organized by the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea «Crimean Film Media Center» and LLC «Jupiter XXI» (Moscow) under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea.

For 9 years, residents of Simferopol, Bakhchisaray, Evpatoria, Yalta, Kerch, Feodosia, Sak, Simferopol, Saksky, Bakhchisarai, Leninsky districts.

The project is aimed at promoting the development and promotion of Russian cinema, which plays an important role in the education and upbringing of the younger generation.

The festival program is formed only from Russian feature films and documentaries, reflecting the role of patriotism and strengthening the interethnic unity of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
