All-Russian Pregnant Day was held at Sevastopol City Hospital No. 5
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Russia, a holiday dedicated to one of the happiest and most touching moments in a woman’s life appeared in 2022 and is now celebrated twice – on April 7 and October 7. Sevastopol first supported the initiative last year and now it is a good tradition for the Center for Maternal and Child Health.
This is a new tradition for our society, where a culture of caring attitude towards motherhood should be formed. This is not only the creation of a comfortable and favorable environment, it is attention and care for the woman who is carrying a baby. Being pregnant is wonderful, but there are times when anxiety arises. It is important to remember that we are always there. You can call psychologists on the hotline and they will talk with you and help you understand all the issues.– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the chief freelance specialist of the Department of Health in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Elena Levanovich.
During the event, issues related to the provision of support measures for pregnant women and young mothers in the region, pregnancy management, and breastfeeding were discussed. Those present were told about what to take with them to the maternity hospital, about partner childbirth and infant swimming, obtaining an electronic birth certificate, and even how to spend maternity leave productively. The Center for Social Assistance to Family and Children presented everyone who came to the event with a set for newborns.
One of the central events of the holiday was the summing up of the results of the photo competition “I am a happy mother”. In total, the participants sent more than 50 photographs taken during pregnancy. The winner won a playpen bed, which is so necessary in the first years of life.
Let us remind you that the next event dedicated to Pregnant Women’s Day will be held on April 7.
