The All-Russian sambo competition “Memorial of the USSR Master of Sports Oleg Alekseevich Gribennikov” has started in Crimea. 120 boys and girls from the Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and the Kherson region take part in them.
According to the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, President of the Judo and Sambo Federation of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, Oleg Gribennikov was a talented athlete and coach.
For me, these competitions are largely a personal event, since Oleg Alekseevich was my coach. He is an outstanding person, a talented teacher and athlete, who trained a whole galaxy of world and USSR champions, winners and prize-winners of various competitions.said the head of the Crimean parliament.
Vladimir Konstantinov emphasized that the tournament is taking place in a modern gym, “essentially our republican wrestling center, the opening of which was possible only in Russian Crimea.”
Of course, we are ready to provide our venue for competitions, including for athletes from new constituent entities of Russia“, summed up the head of the Parliament of the Republic.
