All-Russian Security Week takes place in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations pays great attention to ensuring the safety of the younger generation, teaching them first aid skills, and creating a culture of safe behavior. According to statistics, the greatest risk for children occurs during the summer holidays, when they are left without adult supervision. Therefore, it is important to properly organize children’s leisure time at this time, to create conditions for a comfortable and safe rest.
Employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea hold meetings, lessons, master classes and excursions for children as part of the All-Russian Safety Week.
For example, thematic playgrounds were organized for children at the Artek International Children’s Center. Employees of the Department of Supervisory Activities, together with firefighters of the 13th fire and rescue unit, reminded Artek residents of the fire safety rules, the procedure for action in case of an emergency, and also introduced them to the equipment of a fire truck, allowing them to “shoot” from a fire barrel and try on fire fighters’ combat clothing.
GIMS employees reminded children of the rules of safe behavior on the water, which will help avoid emergencies and incidents. During the lessons, the inspectors told the children about the work of lifeguards, how to behave at sea and while relaxing near bodies of water, and reminded them that swimming can only be done under the supervision of adults and on officially equipped beaches.
Rescuers from a specialized team told the younger generation what to do if you get lost and how to call for help, as well as the main mistakes that tourists make when going on a hike in a mountainous forest area. In addition, the children were taught how to tie rescue knots and transport victims on stretchers.
Employees of the RCBZ group at the “Radiochemical and Biological Protection” location demonstrated to children the means of protection when the environment is contaminated with toxic and chemically hazardous substances, and also talked about the rules of safe behavior in the man-made and natural environment.
Specialists from the medical department explained and demonstrated in practice the rules of first aid, as well as the specifics of transporting victims with various injuries.
Meanwhile, in Sudak, rescuers and youth met at the new Tavrida Art Residence. Employees of the emergency department prepared an interactive workshop on life safety.
First there was a lecture on fire safety with questions and answers, and after that there was a training evacuation. A fire brigade arrived in the courtyard of the Art Residence and extinguished the apparent fire, after which there were demonstrations by rescuers, a fountain from a fire hydrant and a detailed story about the fire truck. The event ended with master classes from members of the mountain search and rescue unit and GIMS employees.
